COMPARTIDES: pilot edition

The first staging of the project “Compartides, el valor social de les arts” (Shared, the social value of the arts) was on 4th June, 2017 at the Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona, within the Festival Arte Imposible.

Lev Tolstoy said that the social value of art lies in the fact that with the arts, through them, people share emotions.

The project is inspired by this idea that the writer, philosopher and reformer of Russian education (one of the first to claim the right to education for all) expressed. The idea that the social value of the arts is in sharing emotions, and that emotions, like struggles, shared, have more strength. Thus we present SHARED, the social value of the arts.

The project combines different companies and artists, both professional and non-professional, both musicians and dancers, with and without functional diversity, in an intense creative and human process, which will culminate in a shared performance, open to the public, battles and emotions related to functional diversity and limits (What limits do we have? What limits have we put on ourselves? What limits have been put on us? Which ones can we move? Which ones give us security? Which ones block our freedoms? And where are they? etc). Ultimately, themes that are relevant to all of us.

Participants in the project include: Yur Dance Company, Les Impuxibles Company, the ASPROSEAT Occupational Centres La Marina and 1981, the Municipal Music School Can Ponsic and the NovAura choir.

The first few days of the first edition of this project:
