Música a l’abast

Music within reach, music for diversity

Begun in 2009 by Queralt Prats through Associació ARTransforma and RessonS Music School, Música a l’abast is an artistic and social project inspired by the British Community Music scene. The main pillars of the project are: access, participation, creativity and equal opportunities to art and music. There are a number of videos on our youtube channel, here are some examples:

Become a member or make a donation

The workshops

The main feature of Música a l’abast are the regular music and creativity workshops for children, young people and/or adults with functional diversity.

Training (more info in Training)

Musica a l’abast offers training for primary and secondary schools, universities, music schools, etc, both for teachers and students.

Children and families

Mixed sessions and sessions for families like the Drum Circle (Ertap) at Nexe Nursery School.

Performances

The different Música a l’abast groups show parts of their creative process to their families and friends. These performances are often open to the public.


Social awareness

The photography exhibition ELS SONS VISIBLES (VISIBLE SOUNDS) – photographs by Ariadna Trias and texts by Màrius Serra- has been touring around Catalonia for a number of years.

Occasional Events

We have participated at school festivals, Parent Association events, Cultural Weeks and other events.

The real disability is the lack of opportunities, and not the individual condition of a person, when it comes participation in art and music.
